Most people live under the wrong notion that happiness can be gained whenever needed. But in reality it's not so. Happiness is something that you'll have to work for. And there can't be a better way to realize happiness in one's life than performing good deeds. The true pleasure that is derived from delivering good acts always reigns supreme over anything else in this world. That is why it takes sometime before one can really start differentiating between temporary joy and permanent peace. While materialistic pleasures don't last long, the one that is obtained from performing noble deeds generate everlasting happiness. To me, happiness is what that is achieved by seeing smile on the face of others around us.
